At the baggage claim area of the Slovenia Airport, tourists can pick up more than just their luggage. Using the bluetooth feature on their mobile phones, they can download tourist information and coupons for their stay in Slovenia.

The fact that travelers are already accustomed to receiving text messages from local phone providers when they land at a foreign airport makes this bluetooth message seems like more of a natural fit.

Gillette Bluetooth Campaign in Superdrug Stores Train Stations

Gillette launches bluetooth campaign in the 50 biggest Superdrug stores and 10 mainline train stations, aims to drive sales of the Gillette’s new Fusion Power Phenom razor.

In the Superdrug stores , content about the product and prize draw are transmitted via bluetooth by Gillette brand ambassadors. A 6-sheet digital campaign both directing consumers to the nearest Superdrug and advertising a prize draw will be running in train stations.

Prizes include a tailor-made Saville Row suit, an Aston Martin for the weekend or a speedboat-chaufeurred trip to a show at the O2.

The adverts carry the strapline “Never Stop Asking” and highlight BBC News teams’ persistence to get to the heart of any news story, often in difficult circumstances.

Channel 4’s Bluetooth Marketing Campaign Offers New Content Everyday

Across a single week in five major London stations, 87,000 downloads were recorded.

Channel 4’s objective was to extend their promotional campaign to outdoor by offering actual programme content to consumers. It recognised the value to interact with the commuter audience on a daily basis throughout the week, and the ability to measure the impact of the campaign was a key deciding factor.

All detectable handsets in the bluetooth zones were offered a clip from the previous evening’s viewing, which quickly transferred to the phone once the download was accepted by the user.
